Why should you go with a VarroBook™?

The VarroBook™ is perfect for spaces where numerous objects need to be identified and where space for interpretation is limited or where you do not want to clutter areas with poster-type graphics.

Typical graphic panels are 36″ by 48″ or 12 square feet. The Typical VarroBook™ is 13″ by 22″ and takes up 2 square feet of space. Please see the image showing how a varroBook can save you display space:

The innovative design of the VarroBook™ becomes more impressive because one can add countless sheets without significantly adding to the size of the footprint of the VarroBook™.

A recent installation was 16 sheets (32 pages) and only had a footprint of 12” by 30” landscape format.

Durability
As seen here at the birth-site of our nation, Philadelphia and the exhibit for the Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. We visited this exhibit that looked as if it were completed recently. The entire exhibit hall was very impressive in its design and fabrication in all areas except one, the flip-book exhibit, as seen here. Places where pages bind and stick, caused the pages to break. Sadly it is common to see images like this in exhibit areas across the country.

There are other methods that are used in binding the pages to the book used in exhibits. Again we can say that the VarroBook™ is unique in its ability to allow each page to function independently of the others, they cannot catch causing pressure on the pages which would cause them to break. Pages are very easy to turn for people with hand mobility issues. VarroBook™ pages are the thickness and consistency of poster-board, but poster-board it is not, we have yet to have one of these pages break in any manner Pages are durable-they will not tear, rip or break, they are printed with light fast inks and protected with UV laminate. Not only are the pages durable they are attractive. They are not color copies laminated on 10 mil. plastic much like you can get a the local copy store, but a substantial lightweight page that is attractive to touch as well as view. We have also partnered with Izone (web link), a company that has the reputation of creating durable outdoor signs that LAST.

Our design process is one built on starting in the exhibit world performing maintenance checks and having to fix broken interactives. We do not like broken interactives. The VarroBook™ is designed not to break!

Interactive
Interactives in exterior venues and sheltered areas are not very common. This is an interactive alternative to flat signage at an affordable price that can be used throughout your walking path for Zoos, botanical gardens and nature centers. This a low maintenance interactive that is tested.

Ease of Use
Believe it or not most of the flip-book systems we have encountered do not meet ADA standards for their use by the general public. Because of our exhibit design background we always consider compliance with ADA standards. Our pages are easy for visitors of ALL ages and mobility limitations to use.

Updatable
Another part that made the VarroBook™ Patentable was its ease of updating its pages. This ability is very important in aquariums, Aviaries, butterfly pavilions, and botanical gardens. If an animal or plant were to die you can remove the page with in 5 minutes. If you were to add a page with the addition of an animal or plant, a new can be produced for a nominal fee and upon arrival, updated in 5 minutes or less.

Flexible
The VarroBook™ has been designed to allow flexibility to work with your graphic’s department. With the standard VarroBook™ you can download the page templates and drop your graphics into the file then return the files on CD or email them to us and we will print them on our durable pages. For an added fee we can design the basic layout that would be repeated for all the pages in the VarroBook™.

Easy Installation
Most installations will take no more than 30 minutes if you have to install post for exterior applications. Some interior installations have taken 5 minutes, thats right, when the VarroBook™ is shipped to you it is ready to install and use. Mounting brackets included when needed.

Attractive
The VarroBook™ is made to order with precision machinery in the United States out of select hardwoods and composite materials. Each is built to your needs, we can match the species of wood, stain and finish or for exterior applications they can be aluminum made of a polymer composite material in our standard colors but we would be happy to accommodate special orders.

Guarantee
We are very proud of our product. Under normal use we have never had one fail when used on an interior application. For exterior applications where the VarroBook™ is exposed to the sun and elements we guarantee the pages for 5 years and binding for 10 years. We have done our best to make the VarroBook™ indestructible but we can not guarantee it to be vandal proof.
